Whatever your age, experience or ability there are many opportunities in Derby for you to get involved in disability sport. The subject of disability sport is becoming a hot topic on many people’s lips with the continuing development of the Derby Disability Sport Focus Group and opportunities to get involved in disability sport being created every week.

 

So how does this affect you? Well, you can find out more about getting involved in shaping the future of Derby Disability Sport Focus Group as they look to find new disabled and non-disabled members to sit on its panel. Wheelblazers off to flying start

 

Derby Wheelblazers have kicked off their first time in the 2nd Division; by going straight to the top of the table! They beat the Bolton Bulls on the 13th at Derby College Sports Hall Mackworth.

The Dwarf Athletics Association

 

The DAA Midlands are now providing training in both Badminton and Boccia amongst a variety of other sports. To find out more about what’s happening local email williecoppen@aol.com or visit the DAAUKwebsite.

 

Locally the DAAUK are organising a murder mystery evening to raise funds for the world games. They’re also organising a car book, so if you’re interested in getting involved in either of these events get in touch with Willie via the email above.

Derby Gymnastics and Sports Centre are holding trampolining sessions for disabled people on Wednesdays from 6.30 – 7.30 pm

 

£30 for 10 week block

Equals £3.00 per session
